Guelph Lake is open for campsite reservations as of April 6, 2021. As all of you know, we are currently in an Ontario-wide shutdown for reasons that reduce the likelihood of our being able to stage our summer festival as an in-person event. If you are booking a campsite at Guelph Lake for the Hillside Festival weekend (July 23-25, 2021), please do so knowing that live music may not be a facet of your enjoyment of the conservation area. The Grand River Conservation Authority has posted a notice that explains their policies regarding campsite bookings:
Hillside Festival: At this time, it is not clear whether the Hillside Festival will be able to stage their summer festival as an in-person event at Guelph Lake Conservation Area. As such, there will be no advanced opening of the reservation system for Hillside Festival weekend reservations this year. You are still welcome to book a regular campsite (for the festival weekend), but there is no guarantee the event will take place. Any changes to reservation dates, change of campsite, or cancellation requires the payment of a modification fee or a cancellation fee. There will be no festival sites available in 2021.
