We are The Ukwehuwe Connection deriving from the Oneida Nation. Our moccasins have travelled to many places to share and connect people through our culture. We started performing as The Ukwehuwe Connection in the fall of 2018, however, our group members have been singing and dancing since we could remember. We are comprised of world-class champion dancing and singing. Although most of our performances consist of Longhouse style of dances, we perform the Pow Wow style of singing and dancing as well.
Our aim is to upkeep the Ukwehuwe (original/indigenous) ways alive for the upcoming generations. In our culture, we are taught to always look forward to the next seven generations coming in the decisions that we make today. The impact we want to leave behind is for them, the next generations to come.
