At the heart of great songwriting is great storytelling.
For The North Sound, songs declare joy, a hallmark of yearning, and a tender tale of honesty. Yet amidst the rawness, trials, and tribulations, there are notes of hope and happiness. This is the duo at their best: Sharing stories in the way they know how. The North Sound is an award-winning roots-Americana group based in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, led by Blackfoot singer-songwriter/multi instrumentalist Forrest Eaglespeaker and vocalist Nevada Eaglespeaker. Blending elements of Americana, folk-rock, and alt-country, the group crafts songs that speak to lived experience, exploring themes of belonging, perseverance, and the search for connection with sincerity and heart.
