Hello, I’m Skylar! I’m 17 years old and I have been with JamSchool for 3 years. Almost a year ago, I was diagnosed with a severe anxiety disorder, and writing has helped me express myself and deal with my mental illness in a way that can reach others. I want to be an artist who can talk openly about mental illness and help others who may also be struggling and I feel like I can do that with my music.
JamSchool is a performance-based music education centre with two locations in Guelph, Ontario. We offer private music instruction and contemporary band classes, both in-person and online. Our focus is on creating an environment to learn and interact with other students through regularly scheduled performances, allowing our students to take the stage with their peers.
