Nohe & Sus Santos is a five piece band that mixes Spanish and English vocals with the musical traditions, rhythms and sounds of the Americas, incorporating Alt-Rock en Espanol, Cumbia, Pop grooves and beyond! The group has shared stages with the diverse likes of Ozomatli, Red Pears, Making Movies, and Samatha Fish, delivering a Latinx vibe full of soul, passion and a good dose of attitude that leaves dancing crowds wanting more. It has the Albuquerque Journal enthusing that the band is “out of the ordinary”.
Featuring musicians from Honduras and the United States, Nohe & Sus Santos finds its stride in creating songs that do much more than simply cross language and cultural borders. The band fosters a multicultural experience empowered by a new Latinx generation, one of positive messages of self-identification and respect for their heritage.
Fronted by celebrated Honduran vocalist Nohelia Sosa, the band is rounded out by the extraordinary string wizardry of Randy Sanchez on electric and acoustic guitars and tres, Gilbert Uribe, the band’s pulse, on bass and Dennis Jasso holding it all down with an impeccable groove on the drum kit. Mike Trujillo is also on hand to add some magic on congas and additional percussion.
