Far from your average folk singer and guitarist, Toronto born, Guelph resident Nick Zubeck incorporates a wide palette of sounds and influences into his eclectic style of songwriting. Heavy on beautiful arrangements, instrumental passages, and thoughtful lyrics, his music is at once genre-defying and familiar. Nick has also kept busy as a sideman, working with varied groups like Sun Kil Moon, Great Lake Swimmers, Sandro Perri, Barzin, Royal Wood, Dana Sipos, Rich Burnett, Roxanne Potvin, and many others. He has performed all over the world, and has shared the stage with Will Oldham, Sonic Youth and other musical heroes. Nick works out of his Guelph studio, Arthur North, and has just released his sixth LP, Venusian Blues, produced by long time friend and collaborator Sandro Perri.
