Melissa Brizuela (she/her) is a believer home-cooked meals can be a synonym for “I love you”, gratitude can be mined from moments of grief, and lessons found within pain. She uses poetry as an attempt to translate the ephemeral into that which endures. By profession she works at Toronto Metropolitan University; by vocation she serves as a Community Advisor with ThisIsReset.org and is Director of Evaluation for Camp Reset 2022.
