Laurel Tubman is one of Toronto’s most versatile singers. Her ability to interpret many musical styles makes her a highly sought-after talent.
Born and raised in Eden Mills, Laurel started singing in the church at a young age. After completing a Bachelor of Music at Wilfrid Laurier University, she took a break from singing, but music she realized that music is an inescapable part of her life, and she wouldn’t want it any other way! Career highlights include singing with her four-piece jazz ensemble, the Laurel Tubman Quartet (catch her regularly at Ripley’s Aquarium!), the Jason Wilson Band, Tommy Youngsteen, the Nathaniel Dett Chorale, the Elora Festival Singers, and as an Artist-In-Residence at the world-renowned New York Bar in the Park Hyatt Tokyo, Japan.
