Beginning with self-produced recordings online, Canadian indie folk singer Dom Louis has carved his name into the music scene in Ontario and beyond. His early work caught the attention of Hugh Gadsdon (Cartoon Records) and sparked Dom working with producers Owen Morris (Oasis) and Tony Hoffer (The Kooks, Phoenix) on his debut EP ‘Everything Must Come Around’, as well as opening for ‘Archie Faulks’ in London, UK, and headlining local shows in Toronto, ON. His releases to date have garnered over 800,000 streams and have been featured on Spotify’s ‘Folk & Friends’, ‘Folk Favourites’, ‘Fresh Finds’, ‘Fresh Finds Rock’ and ‘Fresh Finds Folk’ playlists, introducing Dom to a wider audience. In particular the song ‘Dream On My Baby’ caught many new listening ears, one of whom was Caamp’s Evan Westfall, who together with Matt Vinson (Caamp, The Wonderfool) produced Dom’s self-titled LP which was released April 14th, 2023 via Super Sport Records (distributed by Distrokid). “These new songs are a better representation of who I am as an artist”, says Dom on the album.
