Deborah Ellis writes books for young people, generally on the topic of war in all its forms. Her books explore the impact of war and other injustices of the adult world on children, in the hope that we can learn from our mistakes and do better in the future. Her most recent book is The Greats, and the book coming out this spring is called Step, a collection of short stories about the journeys children go on. She lives in Simcoe, Ontario, with her wife, Heidy.
