Black Feather (Peterborough Folk Festival)

Black Feather is a trio made up of friends who have been an artistic “bubble” long before the days of the pandemic.  The trio is comprised of Melissa Payne on violin and vocals, Jim Bowskill (Sheepdogs) on mandolin and vocals, and Greg Keelor (Blue Rodeo) on six-string guitar and vocals.  Sometimes adversity brings us magic; this collaboration is proof.

The Peterborough Folk Festival began in 1989 as a one-time afternoon series of concerts and has since grown into a four-day event in the third week-end of August. Priding itself as a volunteer managed and operated festival, it serves the Peterborough and surrounding communities with year-round concerts and events in multiple performance venues.  The Peterborough Folk Festival is considered the best free folk festival in Canada!
