For his fifth album, the cheekily titled Sad Hunk, award-winning singer/songwriter Bahamas, otherwise known as Afie Jurvanen, drew inspiration from his home life and the joys and struggles of building a family. Having moved to Nova Scotia in recent years, the Ontario native imbued the album with his surroundings, while maintaining the characteristic wit and heart of his lyrics – and highlighting his signature jangly guitar playing and warm vocal presence.
