Multi-instrumentalist, composer, dilettante, polymath, Emmanuel Alias went through more than four paths before arriving at his eponymous psych-rock project. In 2019, he unveiled ALIAS, a smooth and soaring, elastic and soothing psych rock project, marked by setbacks and covered with fantastic and hallucinatory stories, borrowing from the canon to cross it with ambivalences, dissonances, fuzz and rhythm changes. A first EP, It’s Not Funny So Stop Smilin’, was released in the summer of 2021 on the Simone Records and its first LP is expected on September 28.
