We hope all of you are staying healthy and two metres apart!
Our office is closed until further notice. We are monitoring our emails ([email protected]) and telephone messages (519-763-6396), and we are following developments with our local Public Health unit, the Public Health Agency of Canada, and the W.H.O.
We are sorry to announce the postponement of a series of Spring Co-presentations:
- Cartel Madras at Kazoo! Festival Friday, April, 17, 2020. Postponed until further notice.
- Sarah Harmer, April 4, 2020, War Memorial Hall, U of Guelph. Postponed until further notice.
- Basia Bulat, at Royal City Mission, Guelph, Friday, May 1, 2020. Postponed to November 7th.
- We are cancelling our Spring Songwriting course.
We encourage everyone to take care of each other by following recommendations from the Public Health Agency of Canada.
Our staff, board of directors, and multiple committees are watching the COVID-19 developments with concern and compassion. Our summer festival is four months away, and at this moment, we are using our realistic pragmatism, cautious optimism, and planning skills to mobilize our people and protocols, stabilize our operations and opportunities, and strategize for our future. We are communicating with authorities in our region, our colleagues, our coordinators, committee members, and other stakeholders, feeling, like you, that the breathtaking speed with which things are happening requires us to remain focused on the facts and recommendations from Public Health. We remain hopeful that we can come together July 24-26, 2020 to celebrate music, art, and beauty, and to participate in the collective joy that a Happy Hillside brings. In the meantime, we’re looking after each other. We know you are, too.
