How to Set Up a Slackline with Kevin McDermott

Video available all weekend July 23rd-25th

This instructional workshop will show you how to safely set up a slackline. Slacklining is similar to tightrope walking but involves balancing on a thin piece of climbing webbing. It improves balance, exercises core muscles, and forces us to concentrate on our minds and bodies as they work together.
In this workshop you’ll learn:
1) how to attach a ratcheting slackline to a tree without damaging the bark;
2) how to set up an inexpensive, basic (primitive) slackline using only climbing webbing, two carabiners, and a line locker;
3) how to set up without trees or other vertical attachment points, and;
4) how to set up a slackline indoors.
