The Guelph Games will also be giving away thousands of dollars in prizes right on the spot!
Visit Exhibition Park for a lunch hour Hillside Music Showcase on Sunday, August 29th, from 12 PM to 1 PM, featuring Guelph artists Hellion Ton and Nefe. Hillside is also pleased to present Kween at the Community Showcase from 3 PM to 4 PM. Don’t miss it!
NEFE
Enshrined within Nefe’s rock & soul sensibilities you find an artist who is equal parts songwriting oracle and vocal magician. Masterfully in control of her vocal undulations, combined with the rawness of her lyrics, Nefe’s songs lure listeners into a journey through a rich musical tapestry built upon the bedrock of funk and R&B.
HELLION TON
Hellion Ton is an effort in melody, art, and drive that is from the mind of Nathan Coles who once fronted the Nathan Coles Outfit (Circa 04’-07’). Coles is a performer known for his big voice and unique finger style guitar playing, with songs that seem to skirt along the edges of multiple genres. Always delivering a performance that seems to leave the audience wondering why they have never heard the name Hellion Ton.
KWEEN
Kween is a Guelph dance teacher, actor, and singer who runs two businesses, The Heels Academy and The Kween Company. She is also the Executive Director of the Guelph Black Heritage Society. She teaches a variety of dance styles and is excited to both perform and teach at the Guelph Games day.
