Start 2025 with a song!
For four dark nights in the depths of winter, you’ll start and finish a song through four lessons. We will cover creative writing exercises to generate lyrics, tools to create a memorable chorus, organizing your lyrics into effective verses, choosing the right chords to suit your lyric, structuring your song, and finishing touches. Lessons will include supportive songwriting circles.
You may get a chance to perform at Hillside Inside, January 31-February 2, 2025!
Four Fridays in January: Jan 3, 10, 17, and 24 from 7 to 9 pm. Classes held virtually via Zoom.
Class size is limited to ensure individual attention.
Basic music knowledge required; come with an open mind, ready to start something new!
Hillside’s “Girls & Guitars” project proceeds from our recognition that the music industry tends to be dominated by males who are typically the performers, agents, presenters, promoters, and critics of music. All girls, women, and non-binary folks are welcome in this supportive and safe environment.
Registered participants will receive an email before the course starts with additional details. If you do not receive any communications prior to January 3, please reach out at [email protected] and we will get things sorted!
