Where is Eden Mills?
Eden Mills is a hamlet 12 km east of Guelph, Ontario, and 80 km west of Toronto. We offer a map and more specific directions here.
Do you provide transportation from Guelph?
We do! Thanks to funding from the University of Guelph, shuttle buses are available from the Sleeman Centre and the University. The schedule is available here.
Do I have to buy tickets online?
No, you can also purchase tickets in person at The Bookshelf in Guelph (41 Quebec St.)
Do you have a COVID-19 Safety Plan?

Is there a map of the village available?
Yes, it can be found here and indicates the locations of our programming sites, the food court, the Info Booth, and everything else you’ll need to find.
What should I bring with me?
Bring a folding lawn chair, blanket or waterproof ground cover, a hat, an umbrella (just in case!), a reusable water bottle and an inquisitive mind.
What’s happening all day?
Glad you asked! With 5 sites and more than 40 authors presenting, it’s a good idea to plan your day in advance. The schedule can be found here

The festival runs rain or shine!
Is your festival accessible?
Information about ASL Interpretation, accessible parking, moving between sites, event viewing, and more can be found here.
If I have questions at the festival, who can help me?
Please visit our Info Booth, in front of the Community Hall, or approach one of our friendly volunteers. The Info Booth is also the location of our lost and found.
Can I buy books?
Yes, indeed. Our friends at the Bookshelf have a booth at which they sell the work of our presenting authors. Small publishing houses, booksellers, non-profit groups, and self-published authors will also be selling books along Publishers’ Way.
Will the authors be signing books?
Yes! Following their sets, presenting authors will be available to sign copies of their books at the book-signing tables across the street from The Bookshelf. Children’s authors will sign books at a table adjacent to their presentation area (Jenny’s Place).
Is there an ATM?
There is no ATM, but cash advances are available at both gates between 1:00–4:00 p.m.
Is water available?
Yes, and it’s free. Bring your own reusable container, please.
Is food available?
Yes, there’s a food court where vendors sell a variety of scrumptious food. You can sit at the food court’s picnic tables, or take your lunch with you to the next set. Please help us minimize our footprint by putting all recyclables in the appropriate bins.
What about washrooms?
Portable toilets (including accessible toilets) and hand-washing stations are located throughout the village. Please see our village map for locations.
Do you provide first aid?
Should you need medical assistance, please visit the First Aid tent located across from the Community Hall.
