Well, another Hillside Inside has come to an end and what a winter celebration it was! The weather may have challenged us, but Hillsiders showed us that nothing can stop our love for community-based music.
Thank you to everyone that came out to celebrate with us. If there was a theme this festival, it was putting the focus on oft-silenced voices. Our inaugural Queers on Quebec Street series was incredibly well recieved and together with our Girls & Guitars program, we saw that those voices have something powerful to say.
We also want to thank all the wonderful downtown businesses who welcomed us this weekend: Miijidaa, Fallowfield, On The Verge, Acqua, Truth Beauty, Guelph Music, Pod, Coriander, Royal Electric, and Speed River Bicycle. A special thank you to the DGBA and their Music Weekends program, SOCAN, RT04, The Eden Mills Writers' Festival, 10C, Jam School, CFRU, CSA, The Grand, the Guelph Film Festival, and Vicki Mahony Photography: without their support, Hillside Inside could not happen.
And a final thank you to every patron who came out this weekend; to everyone who supported us on social media; and of course, our fantastic volunteers. We love you all.
If you haven't had a chance to fill out survey, you can fill one out HERE and let us know your thoughts about the festival.
