Hillside Inside 2019

February 8 - 10

Combined with the soulful power of Tracey Chapman, the uniqueness of Bruno Mars and a voice that can silence a room, NEFE is a burgeoning force within the Canadian musical landscape.
Born Sarah Jean Felker, NEFE is a singer/songwriter hailing from Guelph. NEFE released her debut EP Mama (Universal Music) in 2018, produced by Taylor Kirk of Timber Timbre at Montreal’s Hotel2Tango studios. Alongside her EP, Nefe has been featured on Bit Funk’s “Destination Sunrise” (over 4 million streams) and performed notable festivals such as Canada’s Walk of Fame, The World Cup of Hockey celebrations, Toronto International Film Fest, Ottawa Pride, TD Ottawa Jazz, Field Trip Festival, Hillside Festival, Ottawa City Folk, and Festival d’été de Québec, opened for the likes of Jake Bugg, Kate Tempest, Devon Gilfillian, and most recently supported the legendary Bruce Cockburn on his 2018 Bone on Bone tour across dates in Canada.
Adopting her name from Queen Nefertiti, NEFE stands to lead and empower individuals to accept their real beauty, and not succumb to the pressures of perfection defined by today’s media culture. Her voice, that is so often compared to the greats that have come before her, is ready to make a mark of it’s own.
Nefe is currently working on new music.
