The Hillside Festival is committed to access for ALL. The Access Support Tent, located beside the accessible parking area, provides assistance to anyone requiring additional support, including accessible parking, 1:1 support traveling to the shade tent (aka The Oasis) at the main stage, music venues, workshops, etc. Stop by our tent for assistance, a place to rest, & information on accessibility, including best pathways to stages, vendors, workshop sites, and washroom facilities. In addition to large-print schedules, sign language interpreters will be on site at various times throughout the weekend . If you require these interpreter services, please contact the Hillside office in advance of the festival so arrangements can be made. The Access Support Krew is on site to support you--just ASK.
Due to limited availability, only those patrons with an official accessible pass recognized by the Ontario Ministry of Transportation will be able to park in Access Parking. No temporary passes will be available this year from the Hillside office. Individuals with a temporary disability due to injury, etc., are advised to contact the Ontario Ministry of Transportation to enquire about their eligibility for a blue permit pass. Hillside would be happy to provide transportation (i.e., gators) to & from the causeway for those passengers with temporary injuries. Please inquire at the Main Gate.
We welcome people with disabilities and their service animals. Service animals are allowed at our office location and festival site.
Hillside welcomes all support persons, including family members, friends, and contract support workers accompanying an individual with a disability.
Only those support workers employed for hire (i.e., Special Service at Home workers, or other paid contracts) will be charged 50 per cent of the admission fee when accompanying a person with a disability. All other support persons, i.e., family members and friends, will be charged the same rate as other patrons.
